Aggregation of small molecules - from dimers to crystals
The symposium will discuss recent work of internationally leading scientists in the field of non-covalent interactions, and present the scientific achievements of the Research Unit 618 over the past six years.
The Symposium will take place at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum from May 29th to 31st 2012.
Guests are highly welcome! There are no conference fees, but please register at www.rub.de/for618/ before April 15th 2012.

Topics: How well do we currently understand the aggregation of small molecules in the solid state? Most of intermolecular interactions are not very strong and their formation is related to and affected by small changes in the molecular structure and the crystallisation conditions.

101. AGEF-Seminar: 12/07/2011
The 101st AGEF-Seminar with the topic "Electrocatalysis and Photoelectrocatalysis" will take place at the convention center of the RUB.
4 Talks of this event will be by or associated with members of the RD IFSC!!! The start of CES was supported by the Department.

9th Materials Day at RUB: 11/15/2011
During the annual Materials Day of RUB the Materials Research Department will present its work and research (start: 2 pm).
The Speaker of the RD IFSC (Prof. Mudring) will give a talk at 4 pm about "Nanomaterials from ionic liquids" (SFB 558).
