01/28/2015: Meeting of Members
The Meeting of Members of the RD IFSC is taking place on January 28th 2015 in the seminar room of the chair of industrial chemistry (NBCF 04 /679).
08/17-22/2014: Gordon Research Conference on Ionic Liquids
The first Gordon Research Conference on Ionic Liquids chaired by Robin
D. Rogers and co-chaired by Anja-Verena Mudring will be held August
Interest in ionic liquids has been rapidly growing, in part because of the
fascinating set of physical, chemical, and biological property sets
these materials possess, and in part from the growing realization of new applications in such key areas as Sustainable Energy, Biomass, Biorefineries, Renewable Fuels and Chemicals, Materials,Pharmaceuticals, Separations, Catalysis, and Biotechnology (to name a few). This GRC will highlight many of the emerging themes which are becoming quite important worldwide and will represent an opportunity to meet and discuss these and other major topics in the field with international experts. In addition, representatives from large and small industry can provide insight into key issues such as scale-up, costs, availability, registration, and other key parameters needed to plan new ventures. Lively poster sessions and social events will provide much time for interaction with ionic liquid scientists and engineers from around the world.
Apply for participation at our homepage! Applications for this meeting must be submitted by July 20, 2014.
09/20/2012: General Information about the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV
Thursday, 20th of September, 10:00 o'clock (s.t.) in NC 3/99
Everyone is welcome and invited to learn more about the Cluster of Excellence (Ruhr Explores Solvation):
- Which research topics are in focus?
- What is the new Graduate School of Solvation Science?
- Which opportunities offers the International Faculty (IF) Solvation Science?
Closing symposium of the research unit 618: 05/29 - 05/31/2012
Aggregation of small molecules - from dimers to crystals
The symposium will discuss recent work of internationally leading scientists in the field of non-covalent interactions, and present the scientific achievements of the Research Unit 618 over the past six years.
The Symposium will take place at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum from May 29th to 31st 2012.
Guests are highly welcome! There are no conference fees, but please register at www.rub.de/for618/ before April 15th 2012.
Start: 29.05.2012, 6 p.m.
End: 31.05.2012, 12 a.m.
Location: RUB Conference Center, floor 04, room 1
Small Molecules in Interactions - International Symposium: 03/26-03/27/2012
Your are kindly invited to participate at the SMI Symposium at RUB!
Topics: How well do we currently understand the aggregation of small molecules in the solid state? Most of intermolecular interactions are not very strong and their formation is related to and affected by small changes in the molecular structure and the crystallisation conditions.
Location: Conference Hall of the RUB (Veranstaltungszentrum)
