Inorganic Material Database (AtomWork)
The Inorganic Material Database aims to cover all basic crystal structure, x-ray diffraction, property and phase diagram data of inorganic and metallic materials from main literature sources.
DECHEMA Materials Table
The DECHEMA Materials Table contains statements relating to corrosion and chemical resistance of materials and material recommendations of industrial materials in over 1000 corrosive media. It is a reference material with 110,000-medium combinations on 10,000 pages, each chapter is divided by the attacking medium, divided into groups of materials.
Alloy Phase Diagrams Center
The ASM Alloy Phase Diagrams Center allows subscribers to explore, search and view more than 32,500 binary and ternary phase diagrams and associated phase data for more than 6200 systems from their Web browsers.
Chair for MEMS Materials
The chair for MEMS materials (Chairholder: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alfred Ludwig) develop new multifunctional materials for miniaturized technical products with the methods of combinatorial materials research. For this, material libraries are produced with special thin-film deposition processes and characterized by automated high-throughput methods. The results are resumed in the form of composition-structure-function graphs.
ICAMS
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS) is a research centre at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany.
ICAMS focuses on the development and application of a new generation of simulation tools for multi-scale materials modelling with the aim of reducing development cost and time for new materials. Within the approach taken by ICAMS, the different length scales that are relevant for materials - from the atomic structure to macroscopic properties of materials - are bridged by an interdisciplinary team of scientists from engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics and mathematics.
Research Group for Materials Science and Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering is an inter-disciplinary field that has developed from solid state physics, physical and organic chemistry, and engineering disciplines. Related research investigates the inter-relationship between the structure, properties, processing and performance of engineering materials. In the last century, materials science has evolved into one of the key engineering subjects that has triggered important technological developments.
