Gender Equality within the Research Departments
The Ruhr-Universität Bochum intends to create equal opportunities for both women and men in cutting-edge research which is organized in Research Departments.
Thus, the proportion of female Research Department speakers is two out of six, the proportion of female researchers involved in the Research Departments is 20%, and 38% of early career researchers are female (status 2011/09).

Gender equality in science
In cooperation with the Ruhr-Universität Bochum Research School and Ruhr-Universität Bochum support services, the three-part event series “Series of lectures: gender” was successfully realized in 2010. This project dealt with questions around career development in research and teaching.
